1st birthday

congrats maggie,
you've managed to write nonsense word vomit for a year now.
woohoo.

festivities

even with our lack of holiday spirit, natali and I still managed to have a semi-good time on christmas eve.
we did some tamale drop off runs.
showed off my new dress.
rocked out with natali's new record player

christmas day:

i woke up not too excited about the day today, but leave it to Jake to make my day, even when he's on a different continent. I got to see his face! He got to skype call me and talk to me for a while. It was AMAZING.
best.christmas.present.EVER.

also:
I went to go see Black Swan today. wow.
Go see it!

christmas gift

I'm not a big fan of christmas. Everyone's extremely giddy and I can't stand christmas music. But, today I got to hear someone wishing me a merry christmas over the phone. So this year, I like christmas  just a tad more.

welcome to my life

packing sucks.

the end.

change is good

they say change is good, so I'm giving it a chance.
since I'm headed to a new country, with a new apartment, new school, and new people; it's time for a new look.

welcome to maggie mae in london.
(yes, of course the title had to be inspired by my boys, it's london people.)
a super rad chronicle of my new hectic life in London, starting with the chaos of packing!
honestly, if someone had mentioned how hard it is to pack to move to another country, I might have reconsidered. maybe.

12.11.2010

it's time

the one way ticket to London has been purchased.
the super British/Beatlesque coat has been purchased.
the London apartment lease is in the process
and in 25 days I'll be living in London

let the countdown begin.

Alberto Rios

I had the honor of listening to Alberto Rios in my American literature class today. Turns out legit authors still exist in America, and they happen to teach at my own school. Weird. His lecture definitely hit close to home, it was amazing. I highly recommend his work!
